Most of our meetings have been over Zoom this past year, but our needs suggested that Discord would be a better fit—so we’re giving it another try. Here’s the server we’ll be using for upcoming meetings.

If you’re new to Discord, install it ahead of time on your desktop or mobile device or open it in your browser to familiarize yourself with it. Check out their friendly beginner’s guide or help center.

Please contact Edward if you have questions.

As things begin reopening, please be sure to review the approved Kingdom and Society reopening policies. That being said, we will hold an in-person and virtual planning meeting on June 13 for the Vermont Renaissance Faire, which is being held June 26-27.

The SCA Board’s previous guidance remains in effect throughout the month of June: masks that fully cover the nose and mouth must be worn properly at all times, including for activities requiring voice projection, no shared food or beverage, and attendees must remain stationary while eating & drinking.

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.

Please note that Edward Talbot is now the acting Social Media Officer.

The next business meeting is postponed until July 11 from 1-3 pm in person and virtually at Alida Conti’s residence. Please PM Laura Hamilton for directions.
