Following Vermont Department of Health guidelines, combat practice has been suspended through June 2020. We will reassess our schedule as the coronavirus situation evolves, so please check back for updates.
We hold weekly combat practice at Miller’s Run School in Sheffield, Vermont.
You don’t need to participate to attend! Newcomers are welcome. Here’s what some of that combat looks like.
If you go, please bring or wear comfortable exercise clothes, closed-toe, non-marking shoes, and groin protection (if you have it).
Throughout the year, we hold gatherings, demonstrations and displays of SCA combat including heavy list fighting, thrown weapons and archery.
Arts & Sciences
We have quarterly bardic gatherings to enjoy songs, music, stories, poems, and more with potluck snacks.
(Suspended until May 1, 2020) We meet most Wednesday evenings in White River Junction to work on a range of crafts. Join us and learn arts such as weaving, beadmaking, illumination, brewing, cooking, silk painting, embroidery, glovemaking and other needle arts.
All are welcome at our quarterly meetings, in which we discuss the business of the Shire. Our calendar lists dates and locations.
