Panther Vale fencing practice is held each Saturday at 2pm in Barre, Vermont. Address of practice is contingent on the weather:
- During summer and fair weather, practice is held at 56 E Cobble Hill Rd, Barre VT 05641.
- Winter and bad weather: The Masonic Temple at 2 Academy St, Barre VT 05641.
All are welcome to come, whether or not they fight! Loaner gear is available, and we encourage new fighters! Unfortunately, we do not have a youth program at this time.
In the event of a schedule change, it will be posted on the Panther Vale Facebook page.
Following Vermont Department of Health guidelines, combat practice has been suspended until further notice. We will reassess our schedule as the coronavirus situation evolves, so please check back for updates.
We hold weekly combat practice at Miller’s Run School in Sheffield, Vermont.
You don’t need to participate to attend! Newcomers are welcome. Here’s what some of that combat looks like.
If you go, please bring or wear comfortable exercise clothes, closed-toe, non-marking shoes, and groin protection (if you have it).
Throughout the year, we hold gatherings, demonstrations and displays of SCA combat including heavy list fighting, thrown weapons and archery.
